Sober One Six is a queer-owned event management and production company. We build and host incredible events throughtout Western New York for sober, sober-curious, and just simply sober-supportive individuals who want to have a good time! We collaborate with local organizations to present an amazing inclusive experience for the community!

Are Sober One Six events sober events?
Sober One Six is completely inclusive which means typically our events have both alcohol and non-alcoholic options so everyone is accommodated. If the event has only non-alcoholic options, that will be advertised as such.

Do you have to be sober or sober-curious to attend Sober One Six events?
No, you do not have to be sober or sober-curious to attend a Sober One Six event. We strive to make sure everyone is included! We are here to bring the community together and create safe spaces for EVERYONE. As long as you are a sober-supportive individual and accepting of all, you are welcome here!

What type of events does Sober One Six do?
Anything and everything! Drag Shows, sober-happy hours, dance parties, themed events, and much more! Sign up for our emails here to stay in the know of what’s on the schedule and keep an eye on our upcoming events page!

Do you have to be part of the queer community to attend S16 events?
Absolutely not! Sober One Six is queer-owned but we accept everyone and our goal is to build spaces where all people feel included and welcome. We are here to have fun and showcase that our community can come together in all aspects and support each other! We work with organizations and restaurants/bars who will offer plenty of non-alcoholic options.

Do you have to be a certain age to attend events?
This depends on the type of event and venue. We always are interested in creating events which include all ages if possible. It is important for us to give the opportunity for younger queer youth to be able to experience queer nightlife and events! However, each event varies. The age requirements will always be clearly advertised.

Do you sell tickets at the door?
Yes, for certain events, we will have tickets available at the door as cash only. We recommend buying online ahead of time in case the event sells out. Many times, we offer presale tickets for an even discounted rate. Keep tabs on our upcoming events page.

How can I get involved in Sober One Six?
There are many ways to be involved! If you would like to volunteer, fill out the volunteer form on our site here and we will contact you for future events! We also love feedback so if you have any requests or ideas, we would love to hear them! Fill out our form here! We want to hear your thoughts on past events or tell us what you want to see in the future! Collaboration is key! If you are a performer interested in working together, reach out here!

Are there any specific dress requirements at any events?
No. Come as you are! For certain themed events, outfits or costumes are encouraged to make it even more fun but not required!

I am affiliated with an organization and am interested in working with Sober One Six. How do I go about getting more information?
Contact Andy at andy@soberonesix.com for collaborations and info on how to get involved. We can produce your event when it comes to booking talent and managing the show, host an event, tabling, and much more!

Is there typically drag at Sober One Six events?
Sober One Six is a queer-owned business and celebrates queer talent. We love to add drag performers to our events to add a live entertainment aspect. However, all Sober One Six events do not have drag. Typically, we will announce if there is drag included (unless it is a surprise) ;)

Is tipping the performers required at the Sober One Six drag shows?
It is not a requirement to tip, although tipping is highly encouraged. We will usually have the performers’ Venmo QR codes displayed for tipping although it is fun to bring cash to hand to the performers!
13.
What is the price range of a Sober One Six event? Does S16 host any free events?
This all depends on the type of event and what is included. We host a FREE monthly Sober Social happy hour on the third Wednesday of each month at a different bar/restaurant. Check out our upcoming events page for more info on where to go and sign up for our emails to stay informed! Price range for events typically range anywhere from $10-$75+ depending on the event.
